Holiday sport camps

Sport camps run by trained council coaches from various Baverstock Sports College, Dame Elizabeth Cadbury and Billesley Tennis Club. The sports camps encompass a wide range of sporting activities including tennis, football amd basketball and take place during the schools holidays. It costs between £15 and £20 for the week and it is for people aged 8 - 12 years. For further information please ring 0121 464 9072.

ASAP Self Defence Class

Self defence classes for anyone aged 7 and over take place on Wednesday evenings, 6pm at Manningford Hall. Learn practical self defence for street application. Increased fitness and stamina and improved self-confidence. Yoga stretching and discipline.

Basketball Club

The Mini-Blazers Basketball team practice at Baverstock School on Saturday mornings. This club is for children aged 8 to 14 and open to all abilities. Children with disabilities are welcome and extra support can be offered. It costs £1 per coaching session and £1 for a league match or tournament.

League matches and tournaments are normally played on a Saturday.

Football Clubs

The Oaks Primary School hosts the Dell Meadow Football Club on Mondays (for ages 8-11) and Thursdays (for ages 5-7), 3.45-4.45pm. This club is open to anyone living in or attending school in the Druids Heath, Hollywood and Lindsworth area. The cost is £1 a session.

Dance and Drama

The Dell Meadow Centre, Bells Lane, hosts a dance club for children aged 5-7 every Monday, 3.45-4.45pm for £1 a session. Parents are welcome to wait at Dell Meadow and have a cup of tea / coffee for 30p. Older children, aged 8-14, can attend the dance sessions at Saturday Club!

There is also a drama club for 5-7 year olds at Dell Meadow, Tuesdays 3.45-4.45pm. Again, parents are welcome to stay and wait at Dell Meadow. Drama Clubs for older age ranges coming soon!

Saturday Club

This club takes place at Baverstock School on Saturday mornings between 10am-12pm and costs £1 a week. Children aged 8-14 can do 1 hour sessions of:

                                             Boxing
                                             Dance
                                             Golf

There are also activities for parents and children of any age to participate in, run by Sportswise. The choice of activity changes every week but could include: bench-ball, football, circuit training etc.

Spear Head Youth Club 

Spearhead Youth meet on Wednesday evenings. We run sports activities, snooker, table tennis, pool, table top football, tug o war competitions and football (weather permitting).We also have arts and crafts activities including card and mask making, sewing, wood modelling and clay pot making. We have a computer suite and games console where you can play a variety of games.

We run holiday trips and outings to Blackwell Court plus other activities including mountain biking, rock climbing and snow boarding.
